Herbert Hoover Elementary School places primary look on a core curriculum, stressing basic academic skills and good study habits. The schools look forward to build with in each child a sense of responsibility, confidence, pride in accomplishment, and a positive self-image through

academic achievement. At the end, the school provides the quiet and orderly environment for many children needed for learning They provide a structured directional instructional program, based on state and district standards, emphasizing on the mastery of basic skills, which enables students to build a solid foundation for academic success They provide additional opportunities for students to increase their depth of learning and the complexity of their thinking.

Academic Programs conducted
At Hoover Elementary School, the instructional program and the related associated activities are directed, and supervised by the classroom teacher. There is a responsibility on the teachers for having a specific group of students within an instructional program largely defined on the basis of higher level of expectations for students cognitive, affective, and physical growth and development. As an instruction, teachers devote a major part of the school to core academic subjects. The curriculum follows a definite progression on building on skills and abilities acquired at each level. We expect staff and parentcommitment to, and support of, Hoover’s Guiding Principles. Children learn

• Reading and Handwriting.
• Composition of poetries and grammar.
• History and geographical mapping and studies.
• Science, art, and music literature study

At proper l appropriate levels following a literature-based, traditional approach. Children learn basic math facts and skills and learn to apply them to higher-order mathematical thinking. Students here also receive instruction on health and guidance in physical education.
