Kennedy Jr. LibraryFor long years fine people of Monticello and Wayne County believed that a need existed for some formal organization that would lead the way in the preservation of the rich history of their beloved county. It was easy to see that as the year was passing by, many of the traditions and more of the historical record was being forgotten and lost somewhere. That need was meet with, when eleven people meet together at the local library and organized themselves into the Wayne County for the establishment of Caroline Kennedy public Library having a junior sub branch library named as ‘John F. Kennedy Jr. Library’. The John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and museum is dedicated to the memories of our nation's thirty-fifth president and to all those who through the art of politics seeking for a new and better world.

John F. Kennedy Presidential Library Foundation and the John .F. Kennedy Public Jr.Library and Museum together offer numerous opportunities for employment, internships, and volunteering. A Job posting gets updated regularly on the bases of the needs. They welcome all applications and inquiries regarding this purpose. The Library also has an important extensive volunteer program. This program contribute Volunteers vitally to the Library's mission by engaging families, adults and school audiences in learning about the life and times of President Kennedy. There are lead tours, gallery talks and hands-on gallery activities conducted every month. For Students books features biographies, brief essays, glossary, and activities .Students can get to learn about John F. Kennedy's life and presidency. For Teachers it provides articles on classroom resources, school visit information, professional development opportunities, and newsletter for educators. The printed materials collection is a specialty of library which has published and unpublished literature relating to mid-20th century, American history, politics, and government, centering on the life of John F. Kennedy. The collection comprises subject related books, conference papers, government publications, periodicals. Materials are made available on-site for researchers whose information needs cannot be meeting by the holdings of other libraries.
