The Roosevelt-McGrath staffs empower all students to develop their potential as life-long learners with the meeting of the challenges of the future as caring, responsible citizens of a changing global society. The McGrath Special Education Center at Roosevelt-Mc Garth Elementary offers

classroom settings for elementary age students that have been certified eligible to all students. For the past several years it illustrates that when a school and community work together, extraordinary results occur. All of schools are accredited by the North Central Association Commission for Accreditation and School Improvement. Wayne-Westland lays award winning, innovative scholastic programs to assure every student a high quality education and a jump start on college They are especially proud to be 14 Golden Apple Award winning schools and the two Michigan Blue Ribbon Exemplary School Award winners.

Special education services are

• Physically Impaired (PI),
• Otherwise Health Impaired (OHI),
• Severely Cognitively Impaired (SCI) or Severely Multiply Impaired (SXI).
  They also receive the ancillary services so critical to their success in the learning process by
• occupational therapy
• Physical therapy
• Speech and language services
• Hearing and vision services

Adaptive physical education services and nursing services: -
In addition to Wayne-Westland students, our program services students from 11 other districts in Western Wayne County. Not only do our McGrath students receive the specialized classroom curriculum befitting their impairments. McGrath students attend school with the same calendar as Roosevelt, follow the same breakfast/lunch calendars and are given the opportunity to participate in school activities.

Student Hours: Complete Day Starting from: 8:20 - 3:10, AM Half Days: 8:20 - 11:30, PM Half Days: 12:00 - 3:10
